“I don’t paint landscapes derived from photos, I paint snapshots of emotions and memories inspired by my life’s experiences. Painting landscapes create the timeline of a visual diary, the use of my palette knife to canvas acts as a pen to paper.”

About the Artist
My work over the past 7 years has been an emotional and intuitive vision of my existence, a diary so to speak. The paintings are personal and quite vulnerable, which can be interpreted on a spectrum of emotions due to the abstractedness of the paintings. The layers upon layers of paint that create the water and land, and the atmospheric skies that breathe through the everchanging light of day, suggest the contrasting emotions of my consciousness. Though each piece reflects a specific memory, it is ultimately up to the viewer to explore their own emotional state when perceiving the artwork.
